Brett Jones is the Founder of Semper Ads, a Marine Corps veteran and advertising executive known for blending sales leadership, creative strategy, and emerging technology across consumer, enterprise, and frontier tech. With more than a decade in New York City agencies including Ogilvy, Madras Global (acquired by Deloitte), Xfinity Creative, and Subvrisve, he has led national campaigns, scaled creative teams, and advised founders in defense, space, and advanced tech on pitch strategy, storytelling, and go to market design.

Brett serves as a Strategic Partner with Venture University, helping grow the NYC, DC, and national Defense Tech hubs by recruiting students, establishing partnerships, sourcing high potential startups, evaluating dual use innovations with military advisors, and shaping regional ecosystems at the intersection of space, defense, biomedicine, robotics, fin-tech, and AI. Through this work he brings entrepreneurial grit and a cross sector network to VU’s global investing platform. Outside of work, Brett is an avid golfer who became a caddie later in life, calling it “the best corner office in town,” with plans to spend his retirement years as a caddie master or head golf pro.
